The Joester Loria Group’s client SMOSH was recently awarded a Cynopsis Model D Award for Best Digital Consumer Brand. The Cynopsis Model D Awards honor the best in online video content, advertising and talent in 38 categories including Best Host in a Web Series, Best New Web Series, Best Branded Web Series and Most Fan-Engaged Channel, among others.
The Cynopsis Model D Awards took place on November 13 at the the Marriott Essex Hotel in New York City. This year’s luncheon also included the inaugural Hall of Distinction, which recognizes impressive bodies of work in this relatively new field. WWE, Cartoon Network and A+E Networks were among the brands inducted into the Hall of Distinction.
With more than 30 million subscribers and a social media following of over 20 million, DEFY Media’s SMOSH comedy brand includes multiple YouTube channels, a highly trafficked website, mobile, OTT and gaming apps as well as merchandising and various brand extensions. As the brand licensing agency for SMOSH, The Joester Loria Group most recently brokered a licensing deal for SMOSH comics and graphic novels from Dynamite Entertainment.
