Research Shows There’s a Big Appetite for the Very Hungry Caterpillar

For more than 40 years, Eric Carle’s book featuring his distinctive art, about a lovable caterpillar that transforms into a butterfly has captured the hearts of children, and according to a recent report, it’s the most read children’s book in the UK.

Both Total Licensing’s Newsletter and Daily Mail UK wrote about the recently released study.

The widespread appeal of the story is thought to be the result of parents’ familiarity with the classic story, which makes them more likely to pass it on to their children. The Joester Loria Group is proud to represent the global licensing for The World of Eric Carle. We will be sharing exciting news about the program soon.
