aNb Media recently caught up with our Executive Vice President and COO, Joanne Loria, to find out what the recent happenings are over at The Joester Loria Group including the new licensing program we are working on for our newest client, the Kellogg Company.

In the article, Joanne highlights the programs we are creating for a variety of Kellogg Company brands including: Special K’s health and wellness-focused licensing program, Pop Tart’s quirky, fun and pop culture inspired program, and a focus on treat-making for Rice Krispies’. Joanne also offers insights about the consumer demographics and retail partners we will target for each of the brands in Kelloggs’ vast portfolio of brands.

Joanne also discusses the role that nostalgia will play in these licensing programs as. We plan to tap into their rich archive of iconic characters including Tony the Tiger, Snap, Crackle and Pop, Toucan Sam and The Keebler Elves. In addition, we plan to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Toucan Sam in 2013 and Pop Tart’s 50th anniversary in 2014 with a special collection of products for each brand.

Annoying Orange Television Series Welcomes Toby Turner

The Annoying Orange web series is now set to premiere as a primetime television series on Cartoon Network this June.

Annoying Orange, the YouTube sensation created by Dane Boedigheimer, is one of the top 10 most watched YouTube channels with more than 2 million subscribers and over 1 billion views. Now, Annoying Orange is extending its media platform with a television series scheduled to debut on Cartoon Network in June 2012.

Toby Turner has joined the cast as the human character, Nerville, a night shift maintenance manager at Daneboe’s market. Turner, known to YouTube subscribers as Tobuscus, is a YouTube star in his own right with more than 1.7 million followers.

The Joester Loria Group, Annoying Orange’s exclusive licensing agent, introduced Annoying Orange consumer product in Holiday 2011 and is readying a fresh squeezed collection of apparel, toys, electronics, publishing, accessories and, of course, delicious fruity gummies and confectionery for Holiday 2012 and beyond. Annoying Orange Wraps Up Toy Fair With More Media Attention

Toy Fair is always an important source of new trends and toys can be the centerpiece of many licensing programs. The 109th Annual American International Toy Fair ended February 16th with the most notable trend being online apps transforming into physical toys.

Annoying Orange is said to be a notable force in what Newsweek is calling “the year of the app.” We look forward to sharing more about this license soon.

For more than 40 years, Eric Carle’s book featuring his distinctive art, about a lovable caterpillar that transforms into a butterfly has captured the hearts of children, and according to a recent report, it’s the most read children’s book in the UK.

Both Total Licensing’s Newsletter and Daily Mail UK wrote about the recently released study.

The widespread appeal of the story is thought to be the result of parents’ familiarity with the classic story, which makes them more likely to pass it on to their children.
