The World of Eric Carle recently partnered with Love Your Melon, a mission-driven company with the goal of improving the lives of children battling cancer, on a beanie inspired by The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The partnership was brokered by The Joester Loria Group as the exclusive global brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Pom Beanie is made from a green space dyed knit and features a Very Hungry Caterpillar printed leather patch, and a detachable faux fur pom. The cozy and collectible hat is available in both baby and toddler sizes and is available on the Love Your Melon website.
Love Your Melon, has donated more than $9.4 million to fight pediatric cancer as well as over 230,000 hats to children battling cancer. The company continues to contribute fifty percent of its net profits to this cause.
As part of the launch, The World of Eric Carle and Love Your Melon partnered with the Seacrest Foundation for an event at Cohn’s Children’s Hospital. Love Your Melon donated the new Very Hungry Caterpillar beanies to the children at the hospital, some of which were delivered by The Very Hungry Caterpillar himself. The children also received copies of The Very Hungry Caterpillar book and a craft project from Creativity for Kids to decorate their hospital room windows.
Additionally, this heartwarming collaboration was featured on both brands’ their social media channels and through a dedicated email blast.
