After several successful productions around the world, The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show just completed a successful run at the Centrepoint Theatre in Dubai. The show was produced by London-based Popular Productions, an international producer of quality theater and producers Lucy Magee and John Payton. The live theater production has become a global phenomenon after successful runs in Australia, New York and the United Kingdom.
The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show features a menagerie of 75 enchanting puppets based on Eric Carle’s iconic characters. The magical 60-minute show faithfully adapts four of Carle’s beloved books for the stage: The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, Mister Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and, of course, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The show also received nominations for both a Drama Desk award and an Off Broadway Alliance award.
As the global brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle, The Joester Loria Group worked closely with the Eric Carle Studio to develop the live show. The Joester Loria Group continues to spearhead a robust brand extension strategy for Carle’s timeless works. The global program consists of over 130 consumer products licensees and promotional partners.
