JLG at Licensing Expo 2024

The JLG team had another successful year at Licensing Expo!

We had an amazing time with a bustling booth filled with productive meetings, reconnecting with industry colleagues and friends, and an unforgettable happy hour! Additionally, JLG took home a Licensing Excellence Award in the Best Apparel, Accessories, or Footwear Product for Corporate Brands category for McDonald’s collaboration with Loungefly.

This year was extra special as JLG celebrated 25 years of licensing excellence! We are grateful for everyone who has been a part of this journey with us.

Jakks Pacific Bites Into Dog Man For Toys And Costumes

Jakks Pacific and its costume division, Disguise, have partnered with Dav Pilkey to create a line of toys and costumes based on Pilkey’s best-selling Dog Man graphic novel series and the upcoming Dog Man theatrical release from DreamWorks Animation and Universal Pictures. The license, which includes North America, U.K. and Australia, was brokered by The Joester Loria Group, exclusive global brand licensing agent for Dog Man and Cat Kid Comic Club, on behalf of Writers House and Dav Pilkey.

Jakks will launch a range of Dog Man products, including plush, action figures, playsets, costumes, and costume accessories in early 2025 to coincide with the Universal Pictures release of the animated Dog Man feature film slated to open in theaters worldwide in January 2025. The announcement of the new collection garnered extensive press coverage from outlets including Morningstar and ABC27.com.

With his trademark humor and heart, #1 bestselling author and award-winning illustrator Dav Pilkey has made reading fun for kids with the Dog Man series, which was launched by Scholastic in August 2016 and has more than 60 million copies in print and been translated into 47 languages. All five books in Dav Pilkey’s Cat Kid Comic Club series, which launched in 2020 have topped bestseller lists. The latest book in the Dog Man series, Dog Man: The Scarlet Shedder, published in March 2024, launched to the top spot on bestseller lists around the world, and was the #1 bestselling book overall (children’s and adult books combined) in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, and was the #1 bestselling children’s book in the U.K.

Corona Extra® and HEYDUDE Collaborate to Deliver a Footwear Collection Offering the Ultimate Blend of Comfort and Style

Slip-on and say “Ahh” with the Corona Extra x Hey Dude footwear collaboration brokered by The Joester Loria Group.  An extension of Corona’s La Vida Mas Fina campaign, this collaboration embraces the Corona Extra lifestyle and Hey Dude chill, and delivers on the fundamental truth that greater fulfillment and joy can be found everywhere including hanging at the beach or grilling with friends.

The HEYDUDE x Corona collection includes the classic Wally and Wendy silhouettes, which retail for $69.99 and HEYDUDE’s new court-style sneaker the Hudson, which retails for $84.99. This marks the first time the Hudson silhouette has been part of a collaboration assortment. Each style has unique Corona-inspired trimmings like sand-speckled midsoles, lime wedge lace ends, and navy and blue wave-like suede overlays. The full collection is now available online from HEYDUDE as well as select retailers. Additionally, Foot Locker and Champs will exclusively carry the navy Wally style. 

TikTok influencer, Leo Gonzalez, will lead the social media campaign calling Corona Extra and Hey Dude fans to enter a nationwide giveaway hosted by the on-demand delivery partner, Foogi. 150 lucky winners will be selected, with those based in Miami, New York, and Atlanta receiving their shoes a day before the collection is available. A Pinterest takeover, vibrant photography and video content  across social and digital media and in-store signage will promote the collection.
