McDonald’s Appoints The Joester Loria Group As Its Global Licensing Agency

McDonald’s Corporation, the world's leading global foodservice retailer, has retained The Joester Loria Group to develop collaborations and collections of licensed products designed to appeal to brand lovers around the world. McDonald’s long history of partnering with leading fashion brands and retailers goes back to the 1980’s. Last month, McDonald’s introduced its Golden Arches Unlimited online store offering a selection of fun, functional items and seasonal products, to rave reviews and great sales.

JLG will work closely with McDonald’s Global Marketing team to tap into the brand’s unique cache, popular characters, and iconic brand campaigns, with a focus on fashion, accessories and collectibles for adults. Look for episodic campaigns, pop up events, unexpected mash-ups and great product to launch in 2020.

The news of JLG’s appointment was shared by top licensing industry publications including Licensing.biz, Licensing International, License Global and Licensing Source.

The World of Eric Carle Honored In Hong Kong

The World of Eric Carle and its licensee Sam & Partners were recently awarded the “Made by Hong Kong” Toy Awards for two new World of Eric Carle products. The award-winning products include the Butterfly Grow Up Puzzle and the Dough 123 Count With Me Game.

The awards are granted for innovative, quality and uniquely designed toys made in Hong Kong and were presented at an event hosted by The Toys Manufacturers' Association of Hong Kong Limited and Hong Kong Toys Council. 

As the global brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle, The Joester Loria Group works closely with partners around the world including Sam & Partners. The brand’s global consumer products program has experienced exceptional growth in over 45,000 doors in better retail channels in more than 15 countries.

44 Cats Partners with Accessory Innovations and Berkshire Fashions for North America

44 Cats, produced by Rainbow Group and airing on Nickelodeon, has added category leaders Accessory Innovations for bags and Berkshire Fashions for kids’ headwear, cold weather accessories and hosiery in North America. 

“We are delighted to welcome Accessory Innovations and Berkshire Fashions to the 44 Cats licensing program in North America,” said Debra Joester, President of JLG.  “Their exceptional retail relationships and creative capabilities will further enhance the 44 Cats program.”

The Accessory Innovations collection will include 44 Cats backpacks, lunch totes, luggage, assorted cases and accessories, for all seasons.

Berkshire Fashions will create a range of products such as hats, caps and hosiery as well as cold weather and rain accessories, including two-piece hat and glove sets, earmuffs, raincoats and umbrellas, all launching in Fall 2020.

The 52 x 13’ series is an explosive mix of music and cuteness that deals with edutainment themes such as tolerance, diversity and altruism, combining positive values, action and comedy in a sophisticated CGI production. The show, which appeals to preschoolers and children aged 4 – 7, follows the adventures of Lampo, Milady, Pilou, and Meatball - four adorable kittens who are part of a music band named The Buffycats - helping others and always finding creative solutions to everyday hitches.

The series debuted in global markets in November 2018, and launched in the United States on June 10th, 2019 on the Nickelodeon channel where it is in frequent rotation on Nickelodeon, Nick Jr. and Nicktoons. Daily Canadian broadcasting includes Yoopa (French-speaking) and Treehouse, with airings weekdays and on YTV during weekends (English-speaking). A second 52 episode series is in production.
