The World of Eric Carle and See Kai Run are excited to announce their new summer collaboration to celebrate the joys of the season through a collection inspired by the author's beloved book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar. In this creative partnership, See Kai Run is launching four new kids’ shoes as part of its successful Very Hungry Caterpillar collection, just in time for families to gear up for all their summer adventures. This partnership was brokered by JLG, the global brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle.

The third collection in partnership between the two brands, the Spring Summer '23 Very Hungry Caterpillar Collection features two sneakers and two water-friendly sandals, all showcasing the delightful illustrations of author Eric Carle. The See Kai Run + The Very Hungry Caterpillar spring/summer ’23 collection launched on April 17 and is available, while supply lasts, at seekairun.com, amazon.com and zappos.com as well as select independent shoe stores, with retail prices starting at $48.

Kellogg’s is teaming up with Frankford Candy, the leader in manufacturing and marketing licensed confections and gifts, to bring two new king-size Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® Candy Bars to the candy aisle this spring. JLG brokered this exciting new brand licensing partnership on behalf of Kellogg’s.

The new Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® candy bars will come in two different varieties: a marshmallow flavor as well as a strawberry flavor. The single-serve candy bars will be available beginning in April at a suggested retail price of $2.49 at Walmart, Five Below and Big Lots stores nationwide, as well as online at FrankfordCandy.com and Amazon.

This will be Frankford Candy’s first licensed Kellogg’s® product that will be available year-round. The company initially partnered with Kellogg’s in 2022 on two limited-edition Easter products: the Kellogg’s Rice Krispies® Milk Chocolate Rabbit and Rice Krispies® Milk Chocolate Eggs. An expanded line-up of Kellogg’s® Rice Krispies® Easter candy was also available this year.

As the brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle, JLG recently helped the brand celebrate another Very Hungry Caterpillar Day on the first day of spring, March 20th. To mark the occasion, JLG lined up an exciting roster of events, partnerships, and marketing campaigns.

Retail initiatives included an Amazon search campaign driving traffic to a dedicated brand page, featured in-store displays and signage at Barnes & Noble, in-store events and activities at Mastermind, and a flash sale hosted on Zulily.com.

VHC Day was also supported with PR and social media campaigns targeting millions of consumers through influencer outreach, a special gift box for the brand’s ambassador program, advertising on Facebook and Instagram and social media giveaways.

Engaging events for children and parents alike were also part of the celebration. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show is continuing its tour across the country, while The Eric Carle Museum is hosting a full day of activities on March 26th.

Several brand licensing partners also got in on the Very Hungry Caterpillar Day festivities with digital and social media promotions. Participating partners included Touch Press with app updates and featured placement on the Amazon, Google Play stores, and Apple stores to drive downloads. Additionally, Out of Print and See Kai Run teamed up for a social media giveaway, while Creativity for Kids hosted a YouTube live stream unboxing and crafting event.
