With 2016 coming to a close, we’re taking a look back at some highlights from our brand licensing programs over the past year.
Pepsi partnered with Story, the influential NYC retailer, for a Pepsi Emoji store “takeover” in May 2016, timed to coincide with the launch Pepsi’s Emoji national advertising campaign. Unique product and special events attended by leading retailers and social media influencers drove buzz and extensive media coverage.
Mountain Dew Partners With VFILES - In a brand licensing deal brokered by The Joester Loria Group, Mountain Dew partnered with VFILES on the CAMOOUT collection, which made its debut on the runway at New York Fashion Week in September and was a featured pop up shop at ComplexCon in November. The new line incorporated wearable technology with camo patterns that were meant to stand out rather than blend in. This exciting collaboration was featured by Vogue, Complex, WWD and License! Global.
Corona and Modelo beers had another record-breaking year in 2016, providing new opportunities for licensees to tap into dynamic marketing activations including Cinco de Mayo and Day of the Dead. The Joester Loria Group continued to extend the Corona and Modelo brands with new licensees and high profile collaborations including the Dope X Modelo street wear collection.
An Award-Winning Year For JLG - In June, The Joester Loria Group's programs received three LIMA Licensing Awards including Constellation Brands (Best Food, Beverage, Restaurant Brand), The World of Eric Carle (Best Art/Design Brand) and app developer Story Toys (Best Digital –apps, software, video). Additionally, JLG client AMY COE received the prestigious Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Award for her Mosie Puppy from North American Bear and toys from The World Of Eric Carle by Kids Preferred were honored with awards from The Toy Insider and Good Housekeeping.
New Clients Jack Link’s and Cabot – Building on another great year for JLG’s roster of clients, the agency also added new clients including Jack Link’s, the No. 1 meat snack brand, and Cabot Cheese, America’s most award winning cheddar cheese brand, with the goal of extending the brands and their flavor profiles to new food categories.
A Successful Year For the Very Hungry Caterpillar Live Show - The Very Hungry Caterpillar Live Show continued a successful run in the United States with nominations for Drama Desk award and Off Broadway Alliance awards. The show continues to tour Australia and also made its UK debut including five weeks of performances at London’s Ambassador Theatre during the holiday season.
