The Joester Loria Group, the global brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle, continues to drive the brand’s growth in Asia with the appointment of a new local brand licensing agent in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. JLG has appointed GZ Art-land as its representative for The World of Eric Carle in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau. GZ Art-land has successfully expanded many other well-known children’s brands through partnerships with more than 100 licensees.
In other global markets, the brand continues to grow and thrive. This week in the United Kingdom, The Very Hungry Caterpillar celebrated three UK Licensing Award nominations. One of the nominations was for best overall preschool brand, while the other two nominations were in the product categories for Parragon’s book collection and Rainbow’s Very Hungry Caterpillar craft range. The winners were announced at a ceremony on Tuesday night. Additionally, The World of Eric Carle was also named a finalist in the UK Progressive Preschool Awards for the same Rainbow and Parragon brand extensions.
The award-winning property, based on Carle’s iconic books, celebrates the 50th birthday of The Very Hungry Caterpillar in 2019, and plans for a global campaign driven by dynamic partnerships and events will be announced soon.
