JLG at the Summer Fancy Food Show

Last week, the Specialty Food Association hosted its annual Summer Fancy Food Show at the Javits Center in New York City. The show is one of the largest specialty food industry events in North America, with more than 2,400 exhibitors, including several JLG clients. Entenmann’s and Kellogg’s were among the JLG clients that had a presence at the show.  

Entenmann’s was represented by brand licensing partners White Coffee and Pelican Bay.

White Coffee has been developing Entenmann’s flavored coffees and hot cocoa for more than six years and at this year’s show they introduced several new flavors including Vanilla Maple and Maple Pecan. Both flavors are available in single service pods and 10oz. bags.  White Coffee also introduced Entenmann’s cappuccino, which will be available to food service accounts later this year. The complete range of Entenmann’s coffee includes more than 14 seasonal flavors as well as Entenmann’s hot cocoa, which are available at supermarkets, specialty retailers and better off price accounts.

Additionally, Pelican Bay introduced Entenmann’s Quick Bread mixes at this year’s show.  The mixes will be available in Gingerbread, Maple Cinnamon Swirl and Candy Cane. This new line is in addition to Entenmann’s pancake mixes, also developed by Pelican Bay and available at retailers such as Kroger and Christmas Tree Shops.

Several Kellogg’s brand extensions were also highlighted at the show. Brand Castle has been developing themed Rice Krispies Treat Making kits for key seasonal periods including Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Easter. Last year Brand Castle expanded the line with Rice Krispies decoration kits.  One third of all Rice Krispies cereal purchased are used for treat making and Brand Castle kits make the treat making fun and easy.

JLG at The Winter Fancy Food Show

This week the Winter Fancy Food Show is taking place in San Francisco. JLG and several of our clients and brand licensing partners are attending and exhibiting at this gathering of more than 30,000 industry professionals and tastemakers. Additionally, more than 1,400 specialty food companies from 20 countries are showcasing their newest products at this important industry event organized by The Specialty Food Association.

JLG client Entenmann's will have a presence at the show through two veteran licensees that are both showcasing expanded product lines:

White Coffee is featuring Entenmann’s coffee, available in bags and single-serve pods in more than 12 seasonal flavors, as well as Entenmann’s hot chocolate.  New to the line is Entenmann’s cappuccino, launching mid 2018 in food service accounts.

Additionally, Pelican Bay has had great success with Entenmann’s pancake mixes at retailers including Kroger and Christmas Trees Shop.  The line includes 10 flavors such as Confetti, Chocolate Chunk and Red Velvet, all inspired by Entenmann’s sweet baked goods.  Pelican Bay is now extending the Entenmann’s line to include quick breads in flavors ranging from Chocolate Peppermint and Apple Cider to Cinnamon Swirl.

Entenmann’s® Set To Make Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade® Debut

This Thanksgiving, JLG client Entenmann’s will unveil a new confection-inspired float created especially for the annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. This marks the brand’s first time participating in this iconic holiday event that is watched by more than than 3.5 million spectators in New York City and over 50 million television viewers across the country. The partnership highlights Entenmann’s heritage, since the brand was founded in New York City. Both the Macy’s and Entenmann’s brands are committed to family fun and tradition.  

The new float is inspired by Entenmann’s signature treats and will feature a colorful bakery showcasing the spirit of the brand through bursting confetti, rotating donuts and displays of delicious desserts.

As part of this exciting brand extension, Entenmann’s is also hosting a Facebook contest in which two lucky winners will be selected to win a trip to the parade. Each winner will receive a three day, four night stay in New York City, along with four grandstand tickets to the parade and a year’s supply of Entenmann’s treats.

The 91st Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will air nationwide on NBC-TV, on Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017 from 9 a.m. to noon in all time zones.
