This spring, award-winning children’s footwear brand, See Kai Run® has partnered with The World of Eric Carle™ for a spring/summer footwear collection featuring limited edition prints from The Very Hungry Caterpillar. The partnership was brokered by JLG, global brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle.

“We could not be more excited about this collaboration,” said See Kai Run CEO, Helen Rockey. “See Kai Run shares many of the same values and aspirations found in Eric Carle’s stories, such as health and wellness, family, love of nature, and exploration of the world around us.”

“We are so happy to be partnering with See Kai Run on this adorable collection” says Jackie DeMaio, Licensing Director, The Joester Loria Group. “The collection offers a fun take on the colors, characters and bold patterns of Eric Carle and inspires the next generation of explorers to connect with nature. “

The initial launch of The Very Hungry Caterpillar collection will feature three distinct footwear styles, each suited for the young explorer. The Stevie Infant is a first walker style for little ones just getting on two feet. The Jetty III is a water-friendly sandal for kids sizes 4 to 13, and The Tanner is a toddler sneaker for sizes 4 to 13.5. All styles feature caterpillar excerpts and fun, bold color expressions found in The Very Hungry Caterpillar book. In September, The World of Eric Carle and See Kai Run will add four new designs, including a Waterproof/Insulated winter boot and comfy, cozy indoor slippers.

See Kai Run became a parent-favorite footwear brand by proportionally engineering shoes that promote healthy foot development. Wide toe boxes allow little toes to wiggle and feet to form naturally, without restriction; this helps to build walking skills such as balance, gait, and stride.

The See Kai Run + The Very Hungry Caterpillar collaboration will be available, while supply lasts, at seekairun.com, Amazon.com and Zappos.com beginning in April 2022, with prices starting at $48. For more information, visit seekairun.com.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar recently arrived at Kew Gardens in the UK for Easter 2022 with a brand-new interactive adventure to nourish curious minds of all ages. Based on Eric Carle’s best-selling children’s book, the trail recreated the journey of the caterpillar from egg to butterfly through a series of 3D installations, including a variety of fruit, a cozy chrysalis, and a bright, beautiful butterfly, each recreating the signature aesthetic of the much-loved book.

Visitors to the trail experienced the caterpillar’s metamorphosis as they journeyed around the gardens, digesting facts about the wonder of nature and the close connections between plant and insect life on earth. Following in the caterpillar’s footsteps, visitors wound their way through an assortment of fruit sculptures, each varying in size, playing with sensations of proportion and perspective, giving visitors a unique insect’s eye view of the natural world. The trail takes in some of Kew Gardens’ most stunning spring vistas, beginning at the Rose Garden behind the iconic Palm House and concluding on the Great Lawn.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar adventure was open from April 2nd through April 18th at Kew Gardens and from April 2nd through April 24th at Wakehurst, Kew’s wild botanic garden in Sussex.

This exciting brand partnership was organized by UK brand licensing partner Rocket Licensing,  in partnership with JLG, the global  brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle.

Midnight Art Department, the Los Angeles based apparel brand rooted in rebellious culture, and Modelo Especial, the #1 import beer brand in the U.S., recently came together to unveil their first collaboration, through a brand licensing deal brokered by The Joester Loria Group.

“As a designer of Mexican heritage, working with Modelo has always been a dream. As a brand, they continuously uplift Hispanic artists and I’m honored to join the collective,” said Shane Gonzales, Founder and Creative Director of Midnight Studios. “Designing a collection in collaboration with Modelo allowed me to look into my roots and create pieces that felt authentic to both brands.”

The collaboration draws inspiration from Modelo’s iconic motifs, portrayed on an assortment of apparel and accessories. Throughout the collection Gonzales referenced quintessential elements associated with the Modelo bottle and design, showcasing the brand’s distinctive visual identity. From the ornate typography, to the prominent lion graphics, to the gold trim, Gonzales seamlessly blended the two brands in the collection’s designs when bringing the collection to life.

An accompanying social media campaign further highlights the community and roots of both brands. Gonzales tapped Mexican photographer Julian Burgueńo to shoot the campaign, in which he and his closest friends celebrate their heritage wearing the collection.

The Midnight Art Department x Modelo Collection is made up of a t-shirt, hoodies, bomber jacket, bucket hat and fully functional accessories, including a beer holster, beer sling and butterfly bottle opener, with prices ranging from $20-300. The collection launched on Friday, April 8th at 12 PM PST / 3 PM EST, exclusively at midnightstudios.live.

Modelo’s latest brand extension was featured by Hypebeast, MR Mag and License Global, among others.
