As the brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle, JLG recently helped the brand celebrate another Very Hungry Caterpillar Day on the first day of spring, March 20th. To mark the occasion, JLG lined up an exciting roster of events, partnerships, and marketing campaigns.

Retail initiatives included an Amazon search campaign driving traffic to a dedicated brand page, featured in-store displays and signage at Barnes & Noble, in-store events and activities at Mastermind, and a flash sale hosted on Zulily.com.

VHC Day was also supported with PR and social media campaigns targeting millions of consumers through influencer outreach, a special gift box for the brand’s ambassador program, advertising on Facebook and Instagram and social media giveaways.

Engaging events for children and parents alike were also part of the celebration. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show is continuing its tour across the country, while The Eric Carle Museum is hosting a full day of activities on March 26th.

Several brand licensing partners also got in on the Very Hungry Caterpillar Day festivities with digital and social media promotions. Participating partners included Touch Press with app updates and featured placement on the Amazon, Google Play stores, and Apple stores to drive downloads. Additionally, Out of Print and See Kai Run teamed up for a social media giveaway, while Creativity for Kids hosted a YouTube live stream unboxing and crafting event.

The World of Eric Carle is coming off the pages and into the playroom with its latest collaboration with Little Bot Baby. The new special edition collection includes three exclusive playmat designs inspired by the enchanting illustrations of Eric Carle and his iconic children's books. JLG brokered this collaboration on behalf of its client The World of Eric Carle.

The three new designs complement Little Bot Baby's existing assortment of reversible, high-quality, non-toxic and premium playmats. Each playmat in the collection features a different World of Eric Carle inspired theme. The collaboration launched on February 15, 2023, on littlebot.ca and littlebotbaby.com, with each mat retailing for $219.99 CAD/$179.99USD. The new designs are also available at all major baby gear retailers in Canada, the USA, and Japan, including Indigo, Well.ca, Wayfair, Amazon, Buy Buy Baby US, Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Maisonette, West Coast Kids, Snuggle Bugz, Hudson’s Bay, Walmart, Rebel Stork, Yahoo Japan Shopping, and more.

Little Bot Baby, known and loved by parents in Canada, the USA and Japan, prides itself on creating clean, modern and minimalist playmats that parents love. Bringing that same aesthetic direction to the World of Eric Carle, the new collection honors Carle’s gorgeous and well-loved artwork in a thoughtful, minimalist and adorable way.
