Eric Carle Exhibit Debuts in Tokyo

Eric Carle Tokyo Museum Brand Licensing

An exhibit inspired by the works of Eric Carle recently debuted at Setagaya Art Museum in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo. Carle himself was on hand for a signing session on the opening day of the exhibit.

The show focuses on prominent themes from Carle’s work including nature, animals and educational topics like numbers, dates and the changing of the seasons. It also features some of Carle’s original drawings. Additionally, the exhibit explores Carle’s life and his relationship to Japan. “The Art of Eric Carle” exhibition will run through July 2.

As the global brand licensing agency for The World of Eric Carle brand, The Joester Loria Group has developed a brand extension strategy inspired by Carle’s timeless works, which consists of more than 130 consumer products licensees and promotional partners. The World of Eric Carle has thrived in Japan through a partnership with Cosmo Merchandising.

The new Eric Carle exhibit has been featured by Time Out Tokyo, The Japan News, and The Japan Times.
